Repair Cafe
Repair Cafe in Jenesien
On this day, everything in the library revolves around fixing things.
Visitors to the Repair Café bring their nonworking items: toasters, lamps, hairdryers, clothing, bicycles, toys, knives... anything that no longer works, is broken or damaged. Volunteer repairers try to find a solution. Repairs are free, but parts are paid out of pocket.
There are also free second-hand clothing and shoes available.
All visitors are invited to coffee and cake.
This initiative is a joint project of the Senior Association and the Jenesien Library. By repairing things together and passing on second-hand clothes, we extend the lifespan of everyday objects, making a very practical contribution to waste reduction and resource conservation.
